Local/Global Commitment

My Story

Back in summer of 2010, I had the privilege to travel to Phnom Penh, Cambodia to provide medical care to long term missionaries and to teach TCM skills at Ratanak International's partner Daughters of Cambodia, an NGO which seeks to bring healing, holistic restoration, and hope to lives of girls who are currently exploited as sex-workers by providing a platform for transition out of the brothels into normal community life. Through the experience of working with an amazing group of ladies, I was reminded once again why I had chosen the path of becoming an acupuncturist and my desire to use my skills to make a difference both locally and globally was reaffirmed.

My Commitment

Everyone to whom much was given, of him much will be required, and from him to whom they entrusted much, they will demand the more. – Luke 12:48b

My philosophy is simple. I have been given precious gifts in my life that I could never repay so I designed this business as a joyful response to show my thankful heart. My Commitment is to serve both my local community and my neighbors across the globe with the resources, talents, and skills that I have received.

At Bayview Health Acupuncture & Massage Clinic, we believe that all individuals in the community should have the opportunity to receive treatments regardless of their financial circumstances. Financial assistance is available for those who feel they would benefit from acupuncture treatment, but are financially unable, not unwilling, to pay the full cost of a treatment. Applying for assistance is easy and confidential. Call or visit us today to request for a Financial Assistance Application Form.

It is our desire to raise awareness about the terrible crisis in Cambodia and raise financial support to help rebuild this country. Every time you receive cosmetic acupuncture treatment, physio pressure massage, or purchase cosmetic products, 15% of the profit will be donated to Ratanak International, a Non-Profit Organization that has been serving the people of Cambodia since 1990 by being an agent of change in Cambodia’s social, economic, and spiritual landscape.
