Joanna is a Registered Physiotherapist with a Master in Physical Therapy from Queen’s University in addition to a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology with a focus in Ergonomics from the University of Waterloo. She has a keen interest in human biomechanics and has a variety of experience in corporate and industrial work that have shaped her approaches to physical rehabilitation.

Joanna has twelve years of experience working in a variety of physiotherapy provinces and settings such as Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Toronto Rehab Institute, private rehab clinics etc. Her experience included areas of orthopedic and medical surgery, cancer, osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, stroke, myofascial pain, total joint replacements and limb amputation. She has special interests in rehabilitation of mechanical low back pain, shoulder dysfunction, and post-surgical cancer recovery. She employs integrated movement mechanics retraining, manual therapy, and exercise education into personalized treatment programs.

Joanna strongly believes that compassionate and team-based professional care go hand-in-hand in helping clients strive for meaningful, functional rehabilitation. “One of the most important elements of my approach is the education I provide my clients. Helping people understand their condition and their role in their rehabilitation is key to their recovery process.”
