Registered TCM Practitioner & Acupuncturist

Shawn is a Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Practitioner and Acupuncturist and is in good standing with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario. After completing his Bachelor of Science degree at McGill University, he went on to finish his Advanced TCM program at TSTCM, which is the equivalent of a Doctorate Degree Program in Oriental Medicine in the United States. He is trained in many different TCM modalities such as TCM-based acupuncture, cupping, moxibustion, Gua Sha, Tuina, and Chinese herbal medicine. Combining his science background, the fundamentals of TCM and his own interest in Oriental culture and healthcare, he strives to treat a variety of diseases by their root cause.

Outside of being a healthcare provider, Shawn has been practicing Kendo, a Japanese martial art, for 17+ years. He was the national representative for Canada during the 2018 World Kendo Championship and continues to attend competitions and train younger martial artists. His experience as a competitive athlete led to his interest in sports medicine and rehabilitation and he also aims to help other athletes recover from sports related injuries and improve their performance through TCM.
