Massage Therapy
Massage therapy is often viewed solely as a relaxation therapy to stretch out tired or tense muscles and to rejuvenate the body.

Swedish massage
Swedish massage combines techniques which including long strokes and kneading to promote relaxation and calm your body. It is based on the western concepts of anatomy and physiology. Swedish massage is exceptionally beneficial for increasing the level of oxygen in the blood, decreasing muscle toxins, improving circulation and flexibility while easing tension. Before and during your Swedish massage session, communication is encouraged with the massage therapist so that your massage is customized to your needs.
Hot stone massage
Hot stone massage is a special massage where the therapist uses heated basalt stones by placing the stones on the body while massaging the surrounding tissues. The heat is relaxing and warms up tight muscles so the therapist can work more deeply, more quickly to rid the body of tension, leading the client to deep relaxation.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage
Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a gentle type of massage which has been proven to stimulate the lymphatic system. Gentle, light, rhythmical movements are applied to specific areas of the body to aid in collecting and moving lymphatic fluid. It aids in the drainage of excess fluid and waste while detoxifying the body.
Thai massage
Thai massage is based on Ayurvedic principles and originates in Thailand. In this unique treatment, the practitioner guides the client through a series of yoga postures and stretches while massaging along the body’s energy (“Sen”) lines and pressure points. It is a full body treatment that relieves muscular tension, improves circulation, boosts the immune system and balances the body energetically. Thai Yoga Massage is performed on a mat on the floor; the client is dressed in comfortable flexible clothing allowing ease of movement. No oils or creams are used.
Indian Head Massage
Indian Head Massage is based on the ancient Ayurvedic form of healing that dates back almost 4,000 years. It involves massage to portions of the face and ears and oils are applied to the scalp. It leaves the client feeling restored and energized with a sense of well-being.
Aromatherapy can be added to enhance the experience. The treatment ends with an aromatic head wrap using hot towels. This treatment compliments a massage to the neck, shoulders and back, or a full body massage. Benefits include increased alertness and concentration, relief from headaches, relief from stress, tension, anxiety, lethargy, stimulate hair growth, increases relaxation.
Tui Na Massage is a form of massage based on the principles of TCM and involves a repetitive pushing, pulling and grasping technique using fingers, hands, elbows, and knees.
Along with Acupuncture, Moxibustion, and Chinese Herbal Medicine, Tui Na is considered one of the main components of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
How does Tui Na work?
Similar to other TCM treatment modalities, the goal is to correct the flow of meridian pathways and to promote circulation of qi and blood within the tissues. Therefore, before treatment begins, proper diagnosis and differentiation have to be made in order to prescribe the best course of treatment to benefit the condition.
How long has Tui Na Massage been around?
Tui Na is considered one of the oldest forms of massage and bodywork that exists today. Huang Di Nei Jing (The Classic of Internal Medicine of the Yellow Emperor), considered the bible of the Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM), was compiled during the Warring States period (475-221 BC) and it includes records of the massage techniques used as well as conditions that are treated by the use of Tui Na.
Is Tui Na safe for infants and children?
Pediatric Tui Na is one of the most sought after form of Tui Na due to the non-invasive yet effective results it produces. By stimulating specific acupuncture points or areas on the infants & children, therapeutic effects that both treat and prevent pediatric disease can be achieved.
